AMONG THE WORST — please read before buying!
This is a seriously defective product. It would be great – if only it met the basic requirements of a functional rice cooker.

cuisinart 8 cup rice steamer
What a hell of a mess! The water and rice goop boils over and drips all over the outside of the steamer, and all over the counter!

Hate It!
I absolutely hate this product. We own several Cuisinart appliances and are quite happy with them, but this rice cooker is horrible. I have yet to cook a good pot of rice.

Keep Looking for Another Rice Cooker
I was so looking forward to fluffy rice, but I did not find it here! I used the included guidelines for cooking brown rice, and it came out so underdone.

Stay away if you don’t want to have to clean up boil over 70% of the time
Got into brown rice with a change to more macrobiotic diet. Bought Cuisinart because of the brand – assumed top of the line. This is the bottom line-it is poorly designed.

Update! Product directions are wrong!
Hubby purchased this as a gift for me. I wish he would have read the reviews. The rice it makes is fine, the mess it makes is completely unacceptable.

Don’t waste your money.
Generally I like Cuisinart products, so I thought I would try their rice cooker. I read all the negative reviews about it boiling over, but dismissed them because I thought people…

The worst appliance I have ever owned.
The Good -
It looks nice on the counter.
The Bad –
Design of lid makes it very difficult to clean.
